Get to know me:

I am a psychologist working in the Kingston area.

I am registered to provide clinical psychology services to children, adolescents, and adults in Ontario. At this time, my practice is focused on supporting adolescents and adults to fill a need in the community.

I am passionate about supporting my clients in understanding themselves and advocating for their needs. I offer assessment for autism and ADHD for individuals who may have been missed for these diagnoses earlier in life. I have a specific interest in identifying missed and misdiagnosed neurodivergence, and supporting the mental health needs that come alongside this experience. Often my clients and I find that a clear understanding of their struggles (i.e., why they are recurrently anxious, overwhelmed, or exhausted) supports more effective treatment.

My practice is also focused on queer- and trans-affirming care (i.e., supporting identity exploration, affirmation, and service navigation).

I provide neuroaffirming therapeutic support, as well as therapy for a variety of mental health conditions (e.g., anxiety and mood disorders, OCD, posttraumatic stress conditions).

I have been an invited speaker on topics related to autism assessment, case conceptualization and differential diagnosis, neuroaffirming care, queer- and trans-affirming mental healthcare, and neuroaffirming practices in education.

My Clinical Training:

I completed my doctorate in clinical psychology at Queen’s University (2017-2022). My training included experience in assessment, individual and group therapy, program development and evaluation, consultation, research, teaching, and supervision. My research explored attachment orientations, mindfulness, and experiences in romantic relationships. My clinical placements included experience with autism, ADHD, specific learning disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD, and personality disorders. I balanced my training across experience with children, adolescents, and adults. This led to cultivating a specific skillset of competence with developmental conditions from my work with children, and then being able to apply this to my work with adults to identify individuals who have been missed for neurodevelopmental conditions earlier in life.

I completed my pre-doctoral residency with the Calgary Clinical Psychology Residency Program (2021-2022). During residency, I worked at an operational stress injury clinic providing trauma assessments and treatment, a mood and personality disorders service providing therapeutic intervention, and an assessment service providing comprehensive psychological assessments for a range of neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions.

I completed my supervised practice year working in developmental services in Kingston, and started to grow my private practice (2022-2023). Through the hospital I provided autism assessments to children and youth across Eastern Ontario. I also worked for an interdisciplinary service that provided caregiver-mediated support for autistic children and youth who had experienced an escalation in coping challenges. I co-supervised several clinical psychology practicum students from Queen’s University. In 2023, I was awarded the Kevin Parker Practicum Supervisor Award.

I have been autonomously practicing as a psychologist since December of 2023. My career started with a balance of hospital and private practice work, and I moved to full-time private practice in November of 2024.
